Randomness

I’ve been SOOO busy recently that I haven’t been updating regularly (sorry).  I can see the end in sight and I have a few fun projects in the works!  In the meantime I thought I’d share some recent doodles.  Most of these were done from severe boredom.

Watch out Haunted Legs fans!  Things are happening!!!  Stay tuned 🙂

The Haunted Legs BEGINS!

Earlier this year I drew a quick doodle of a pair of severed limbs who I called, “The Haunted Legs” – the doodle kept coming back to me and I’ve decided to use it as a jumping point for a month long art project.  My challenge is to do one illustration per day for the whole month of July.  The project is live as of yesterday – and you can check it out by clicking “Haunted Legs” on my top banned.

I have even tried my hand at traditional hand-drawn animation (above) resulting in the animation below.

Steal Like An Artist!

I don’t usually do book reviews on here – but I read Steal Like An Artist by Austin Kleon a month or so ago and I’ve been thinking about it since.  It’s a REALLY easy read – short blurby pages so you can pick it up and put it down easily.  I think what I liked most about it is that I agreed with so much of what was in there that I felt like I could have written it!  A great read for any contemporary creative.

It’s only $8.50 or something on Amazon – so there’s no excuse not to give it a go.

AND IF YOU’RE IN PORTLAND:  Mr. Kleon himself is going to be speaking this coming Tuesday!  Maybe I’ll see some of you there 🙂
